Fullerton Healthcare has further strengthened its position in the Australian market, becoming a major shareholder of Perth’s Baseline Group.
The new partnership will see Baseline Group build on its growth over the past 12 months and expand its security, emergency response, medical and safety services among the resources, energy, marine and construction industries, both onshore and offshore.
Singapore-based Fullerton Healthcare Group, a major shareholder of leading Australian occupational healthcare provider Jobfit Health Group, is a fully integrated healthcare organisation providing services in corporate health, general practice, allied health and diagnostic imaging, and employs more than 1,500 staff across seven countries. Each year, the Group cares for over 7 million lives as a provider to more than 25,000 businesses across the Asia Pacific region.
Baseline Group, which will maintain operations under its own brand, will utilise Jobfit’s extensive network of medical centres, injury management specialists including 24/7 call centre, together with its employee assistance program to expand its services beyond Western Australia, including overseas.
Fullerton Healthcare Australia Managing Director Steven Harvey says Baseline Group has built a strong and enviable reputation in the West.
“Emergency response services are crucial to the ongoing health and safety of remote site workers, and we are proud to partner with Baseline Group to deliver these critical services to more businesses throughout Australia and overseas, supported by Jobfit’s existing and well established network of medical centres,” Mr Harvey said.
“What Baseline Group brings to our business through its specialised expertise will play an integral role in our future growth plans in Australia and beyond.”
Baseline Group currently has over 50 staff working across 20 sites in Western Australia alone, with clients including Fortescue Metals, Thiess, Watpac, Northern Star, Monadelphous, and Newmont Mining.
Fullerton Healthcare’s expansion of onsite and remote site services in the Asia Pacific region builds on existing Singapore onsite contracts with well-known organisations, including Singapore Airlines and Marina Bay Sands.
Baseline Group Director Emma Tobias says the company has experienced significant growth over the past year despite the slow down in iron ore, and is excited about the future opportunities to further diversify across multiple industries.
“Fullerton Healthcare’s investment and Jobfit’s networks will allow us to deliver on our ambitious plans of making Baseline Group the most experienced and trusted provider of security, emergency response and medical services in Australia,” Ms Tobias said.
“We’re excited by what the future holds for Baseline Group and are already seeing the benefits by working on contracts interstate with Jobfit.”
The move caps off a successful period for both Groups, with Baseline Group recently awarded a long-term master service agreement with mining giant Fortescue Metals Group in Western Australia, while Jobfit secured a long-term contract to take over Nyrstar’s entire medical function in Port Pirie, South Australia earlier this year. Both contracts have – and will – result in a further boost in the workforce.
